Claudia Castellucci | The Cadence [La Cadenza]
Claudia Castellucci, a founding member of Socìetas Raffaello Sanzio, presents her eminent book Sect. School of dramatic technique [Setta. Scuola di tecnica drammatica] (Quodlibet, 2015), which contains theoretical texts on theatre and acting, as well as numerous exercises.
This presentation takes the form of cadences, initiated by the experience of the Rhythmical Exercises of Athens, a workshop organized by the ARCH project in November 2014. The cadences are rhythmical steps, based on patterns taken from the metre of Ancient Greek poetry, which are executed with psychological precision and grace. The "Cadence" is a development of some of the 396 exercises that Claudia Castellucci has collected in her book.
