Raffaello Sanzio

Today, the 6th of April 2016, we celebrate the birthday of Raphael who was born 532 years ago in Urbino, Italy.

The celebrated painter of the Renaissance Raphael (in Italian: Raffaello Sanzio) and his work have been a source of inspiration for the Socìetas Raffaello Sanzio.

This drawing of Raffaello Sanzio was created by Romeo Castellucci for the purposes of the visual arts exhibition “To Carthage then I came”, which was presented in Avignon, in July 2002.
